At Protec the onset of winter conjures up numerous protection requirements and the differing ways in which the protection products we offer can be used on site. A well knows Car Manufacturing company has contacted Protec to explain an issue they are experiencing during the manufacturing process.
The very small parts used to make the cars often can scratch easily. The solution for this company was to apply the affected areas with Protec’s Low Tack 50mm x 33m Tape to prevent any scratching.
The tape can be removed when it needs to be leaving no residue on the parts – the perfect temporary protection.

Recently Protec’s FR LPS1207 Bubble wrap was requested by the British Museum for protection of existing Column facades in place.
The bubble wrap is fully certificated to LPS1207 Standard and will provide excellent impact protection for the duration of the project.
The High Tack cloth tape can be used with it for sticking material to material so no tape goes directly onto the finished surface.
Our Flame Retardant Heavy Duty CushionGard have long been a favourite for protection of curtainwalling and windows.
The lightweight material is much easier and less labour intensive to handle than other rigid protective boards and the large 1.5m x 100m rolls allow for large areas to be protected without the need of cutting, jointing.

We always find that our customers are the best positioned to tell us the most innovative and best uses for our temporary protective materials.
One of our domestic customers purchased our Zipwall 4 pole kit and self adhesive carpet protection to cover up areas whilst new stove was installed in his living room.
Not only the carpets, walls and furnishings remained clean and dust free for the duration of the works undertaken (including demolition, brickwork, plastering and painting) the contractor installing the stove was so impressed with how our materials work, they bought the set off our customer!
